- Early Student Politics: Dharmendra Pradhan began his political journey in 1983 as an activist with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) while studying at Talcher College, later holding the post of National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
